Nestled in the heart of the Upper West Side, this sun-filled penthouse was designed as the perfect pied-à-terre for our client—a serene, stylish escape from the city’s hustle. Whether entertaining guests or unwinding after a busy day, the space offers a thoughtfully curated blend of comfort and sophistication.
Drawing inspiration from a cherished Audubon lithograph, Method + Moxie developed a distinctive palette and design concept that brings the outdoors in. Every element—from the color story to the materials—was intentionally chosen to reflect the client's lifestyle and love of nature. Shades of blue and green are layered with rich gold and rust tones, infusing warmth and dimension throughout.

Light oak floors set the foundation, complemented by custom-selected walnut accents, warm brass finishes, and textured linens and grasscloth wallcoverings. These tactile layers soften the space while adding depth and visual interest.
Two guest rooms feature softly textured walls in warm, welcoming neutrals—each designed to make guests feel instantly at home. Lighting played a central role in the overall vision, with Method + Moxie sourcing customized fixtures that not only introduce pops of color but also provide layered, dynamic illumination. In the kitchen, an organically shaped linear pendant adds a sculptural moment and a striking counterpoint to the sleek, pre-finished cabinetry.
From concept through sourcing and execution, every detail was thoughtfully guided by Method + Moxie’s signature approach: blending creative vision with purposeful design choices to deliver a home that feels personal, polished, and entirely one-of-a-kind.
